85 Years of Harmony
85 Years of Harmony
This recording honors the classic Sons of the Pioneers sound while showcasing the current lineup in the band’s 85th year of continuous music-making. You’ll hear beautiful lead and harmony singing from Roy (Dusty) Rogers, Jr., longtime “top tenor” Ken Lattimore, Trail Boss Tommy Nallie, and mellow baritone man John Fullerton. Paul Elliott’s fiery fiddling and Tommy’s lead guitar add depth and excitement, and it’s all powered by Chuck Ervin’s driving bass and John’s powerhouse rhythm guitar. This band successfully captures the sweeping harmonies, mellifluous yodeling, and famous rhythmic drive that the Pioneers are famous for while making the music completely their own. We like this recording, and we think you will, too!
